Outcomes of the Forum
The MINEX Central Asia Forum demonstrated the growing role of Central Asian countries in shaping global critical raw materials security, opened new horizons for international partnership, and underscored the importance of sustainable and responsible resource utilisation for the prosperity of the region.

With its immense geological potential along the Central Asian Mineral Belt, the region is uniquely positioned to become a global centre for environmentally responsible and secure metals and minerals supply chains. Realising this vision requires coordinated approaches in policymaking, investment, and infrastructure development.
In 2024, the Forum was relaunched in a Nomadic format, drawing inspiration from the ancient Silk Road, which for over 1,500 years enabled trade, scientific and cultural exchange between Eastern and European civilisations. The 10th MINEX Central Asia Forum was held in Bishkek, hosted by the Government of Kyrgyzstan.
This year, Uzbekistan has taken up the symbolic torch and will host the 11th MINEX Central Asia Forum in Tashkent on 24–25 June 2025 under the central theme “Forging Central Asia’s Role in Global Critical Minerals Security”.
The Forum plans to host representatives from the “Big Five” Central Asian nations, namely Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, along with strategic partners from the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Middle East, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and Canada.
In an era defined by the global energy transition, the demand for technological metals is unprecedented. This Forum marks a significant step in positioning Central Asia, and Uzbekistan in particular, as a critical hub in the global supply chain of essential raw materials.
This Forum is designed to showcase Central Asia’s rising leadership in shaping Global Critical Minerals Security, attract strategic partnerships, and facilitate high-level discussions on regional integration and supply chain resilience.
Through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and collaborative initiatives, we will pave the way for a future-ready ecosystem of talent, technology, and trust.
